Prosecutors drop sex trafficking charges against NY man

The Berkshire Eagle reports that 44-year-old Charles Robinson, of Peekskill, New York, was released this week just before his trial on sex trafficking charges was scheduled to start in Pittsfield. District Attorney Paul Caccaviello said "after conferring with the victim, the Commonwealth came to the conclusion that the prudent course of action is to terminate the prosecution."

Putnam Man With Six Prior Felonies Convicted Of Dealing, Possessing Cocaine

A Putnam County man with six prior felony convictions for drugs has been convicted again on three counts of sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession. Omar Miles of Lake Peekskill was convicted Tuesday by a jury on the felony counts and faces a maximum of 36 years in state prison, said the Putnam County District Attorney's Office.

Northern Westchester Drug Trafficker Gets 11-Year Sentence

A drug trafficker who operated out of a Northern Westchester housing project for years has been sentenced to more than a decade behind bars. Edward Holliman has been sentenced to 135 months in prison for conspiring to distribute crack cocaine in Peekskill between 2013 and 2017 after pleading guilty on April 24. He must also forfeit $30,000 and will be subjected to five years of supervised release when he is released from prison.
