Former White Plains Mayor Joseph M. Delfino will be the top honoree at the 33rd annual Westchester Senior Citizens Hall of Fame on Dec. 4. Man Charged With Stealing From Kohl's In Cortlandt Manor

A 26-year-old Peekskill resident was arrested for shoplifting a jacket at a Kohl's department store in Cortlandt Manor on Thursday. Eric T. Flores was arrested for two counts of Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor after State Troopers were dispatched to Kohl's department store for a larceny complaint, according to state police.

Rocket Launch in Mamaroneck

Hommocks Middle School is the first public school in New York to launch a Rocket Composter, which will remove food waste from the waste stream and reduce trucking and disposal costs to the Peekskill facility that burns Westchester's garbage. Peekskill Takes Ownership Of Scenic Hudson Park

It may have taken more than 17 years, but the city of Peekskill has finally received ownership of the Scenic Hudson Park at Peekskill Landing from the Scenic Hudson Land Trust , according to Mayor Frank Catalina. Open to the public for a year, the land trust has transferred full ownership of the park to the city at no cost, and Peekskill in turn has agreed to abide by a conservation easement on the property in perpetuity, the mayor added.
