New York State Police charged a Yorktown man with driving while intoxicated after reportedly observing him driving at 95 mph in a 55 mph zone in Mount Pleasant on Sunday, Nov. 23, according to officials. Fast-Moving Fire Destroys Home At Yorktown Rabbinical Seminary

A house on the Kehilath Yakov Pupa Rabbinical Seminary campus in Yorktown near the Taconic State Parkway was destroyed in an overnight fire that started around 11 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters from Ossining, Croton, Somers, Katonah, Mahopac and Peekskill battled the blaze, which was controlled in less than two hours, according to fire officials.
