He emigrated from Germany for a 32-year career as a research physicist at IBM, and lived for five decades in Croton-on-Hudson Mader was from the small farming community of Wilhelmsdorf in the far south of Germany, where he was raised by his widowed mother through World War II. His father died less than two years after he was born July 26, 1929.

Ginsburg Pitches New Plans To Develop Peekskill's St. Mary's Convent

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. Developer Martin Ginsburg is again pitching plans to turn the former St. Mary's Convent in Peekskill into apartments and townhouses, according to lohud.com. The $50 million project which would also include an inn, spa and hiking trails could make the city into a tourist destination, Ginsburg told the Peekskill City Council this week, lohud said.
