Peekskill City School District to Hold Multiple Open House Events

On January 28, Peekskill Superintendent Dr. Larry Licopoli announced in a letter to the community that the Peekskill City School District would be holding a series of Open House events so that parents, as well as current and future community members could tour school buildings and become more familiar with the District's teachers, programs and services. The Children's Theatre Company of Peekskill announced plans to mount a pair of productions over the next two weekends while celebrating its ninth season. The CTC will perform "The Ugly Duckling" and "Stone Soup" at the Ford Theatre in Peekskill on Jan. 31, Feb. 1, 7 and 8. Police received a call from security staffers at Sears in the Jefferson Valley Mall at 5:08 p.m. Jan. 8, reporting two the young women in custody. One is 16 and one 17. Their names have been withheld because they are eligible for youthful offender status, which can only be granted by a judge.
