A large and enthusiastic crowd showed up Jan. 18 at the Peekskill Middle School, as the Peekskill Area Pastors Association and the Mount Olivet Baptist Church presented an Interfaith Worship Service recalling the courage and determination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Titled "Beyond a Dream to a Vision," the celebration included performances by the combined interfaith adult and youth choirs, the United Methodist Church of Peekskill's Praise Dancers, the Temple Israel Singers, as well as a presentation of the MLK Community Service Award, which went to Temple Israel of Westchester.
