Westchester Man Pleads Guilty In Heroin Death Of 23-Year-Old

A Peekskill resident has admitted supplying the fentanyl-laced heroin that killed a 23-year-old Buchanan man, according to Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. Lakuan Rhyne, also known as "Rico," was the leader of a drug trafficking ring in that sold heroin, crack and cocaine in Westchester County in 2014, Bharara said.

Taconic Wrong-way Driver Arrested in Mount Pleasant

New York State Police arrested Devon R. Beaufort of Peekskill, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, following the report of a wrong-way driver traveling on the Taconic State Parkway early Monday morning. Troopers were searching for the wrong-way vehicle and located it traveling southbound in the northbound lanes in the area of mile post marker 5.5.
