Police Investigating Robbery Near Peekskill Animal Hospital

State Police in Cortlandt are investigating a robbery that occurred Monday night in front of the Peekskill Animal Hospital near Route 202. A woman reported that at approximately 11:30 p.m., she was walking home from the Beach Shopping Center and was approached by a man who forcibly took her belongings, according to state police.

Fast-Moving Fire Destroys Home At Yorktown Rabbinical Seminary

A house on the Kehilath Yakov Pupa Rabbinical Seminary campus in Yorktown near the Taconic State Parkway was destroyed in an overnight fire that started around 11 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters from Ossining, Croton, Somers, Katonah, Mahopac and Peekskill battled the blaze, which was controlled in less than two hours, according to fire officials.
