Talk about a brisk awakening to the New Year. The Third Annual Polar Plunge to benefit Me Foundation , an organization helping fund college scholarships for local students who have faced adversity or helped a friend through adversity, will take place Jan. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Peekskill Riverfront Green.
