Buchanan-Verplanck Elementary School Students Bake Pies For Less Fortunate

Third-graders at Buchanan-Verplanck Elementary School prepared more than 50 pies as the school hosted its annual Great Apple Pie Bake on Monday, Nov. 24. The 55 pies and hand-made cards were donated to the Jan Peek House Homeless Shelter in Peekskill on Tuesday afternoon . All unused ingredients were also donated to the Jan Peek House.
