The Paramount Theater in downtown Peekskill first opened its doors with a gala event June 27, 1930, and to celebrate its 85th anniversary, the theater will have another gala celebration June 27. The historic venue will be celebrating that anniversary with a live concert from the Marshall Tucker Band with opening act Sundown, a historical slide show and an exhibition of vintage photos from the Paramount's storied past, a special commemorative playbill for concert-goers, raffles and an auction for authenticated signed guitars from some of music's biggest stars.
