Emerald ash borer found in 2 more counties

New York state officials say the beetle has been found in Department of Environmental Conservation-deployed traps southeast of Binghamton in Broome County and just north of the city of Peekskill in Westchester County. The Peekskill find is just outside the current state and federal emerald ash borer quarantine, which encompasses all or parts of 42 counties through central and western New York, including Orange and Putnam north of New York City.
