The state approved $35.4 million in zero-interest and low-interest loans for five wastewater projects in Westchester County. The projects include: $8.2 million to rehabilitate three pump stations of the Mamaroneck Sewer District ; $6.5 million to upgrade the primary and secondary treatment systems, heating and chemical handling operations at the Mamaroneck Wastewater Treatment Plant; and, $1.8 million to replace the Sprain Lift force main with a 1,540-foot, eight-inch ductile iron pipe to convey waste to the Yonkers Joint Wastewater Treatment Plant.
