City residents held the annual Lincoln Remembrance Day on Saturday, commemorating a stopover Abraham Lincoln made in Peekskill 155 years ago, according to a lohud.com report. The stopover was part of the journey that Lincoln, the nation's newly elected president, was making to Washington, where he would take the oath of office, according to lohud.com.
