The Rev. John Keane, a Franciscan Friar of the Atonement, will receive the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Award from the leaders of the Peekskill Area Pastors' Association and Mount Olivet Baptist Church on Monday, Jan. 18. A native of Philadelphia, Keane took his final vows as a Franciscan friar in 1959, and was ordained a Catholic priest in 1962.
